Rockstar has now announced two different music releases for Grand Theft Auto VI, and they are easy to mix up. One is a collection of songs by many artists that arrives on launch day. The other is an instrumental score by the French duo Justice that follows three weeks later. This guide separates them, using Rockstar's official game page, its newswire post on the score and the label and press coverage linked below.

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album

According to Consequence's report on the announcement, Rockstar revealed The Album on September 17, 2026, with 34 original tracks due on November 19. Six songs were released straight away on streaming services:

  • "That's It" by Yung Lean, featuring Future and Metro Boomin
  • "RHYNO" by Travis Scott, produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk
  • "Sexy Magic" by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy
  • "Last Thing You Need" by Morgan Wallen
  • "Macacoa 2000" by Rauw Alejandro
  • "Bright Lights, Big City" by Keith Richards

Further singles have followed, and coverage lists "Don't Chart" by Cardi B and "Suzuki" by Fuerza Regida as arriving on October 8. The song "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is also part of the story, because it is the music in the launch trailer.

Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score by Justice

Rockstar announced the score on October 29, 2026. It was composed by Justice's Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay and is due on December 11 on streaming services, CD and vinyl. A press release from Because Music, one of the labels behind it, describes 30 tracks plus bonus digital tracks that together form a suite of roughly three hours.

  • Adaptive music. The release says the score is "dynamically tuned to game events as they unfold", reacting to how players engage with people and places across Leonida.
  • First preview. "Pusher", a collaboration with Gesaffelstein, was released the same day as the announcement and is described as a preview of the instrumental side of the score.
  • The composers' view. Xavier de Rosnay said, "We were given the freedom to explore as many things as we needed to, musically speaking."

How they fit with the rest of the game's audio

Rockstar's game page describes its music section as covering the official score and soundtrack, plus select in-game radio stations. So the two albums are only part of what you will hear. Rockstar has not published a list of the radio stations or what will be on them, and we have not found an official statement on that.

What is still unknown

  • The full track list of The Album. Reports agree that most of the 34 songs have not been named, and the counts of what is still hidden differ between outlets. Rockstar has said more will be revealed later.
  • Whether every score track is heard in the game. The score is described as written for the game, but Rockstar has not said how much of the 30-track release appears in play.
  • Radio stations. Not yet detailed by Rockstar.

We will update this article when Rockstar posts a complete track list or radio line-up.
